Delivery Reports, what is that ?
Every hour we compile a report of all your outgoing SMS. This report contains:

the Cell number you sent the SMS to

the Date and Time sent

the SMS Message

the Status of the Message - Delivered/ Not Delivered/ Timed Out

Convert Email to SMS :
Do you suffer from E-mail overload everytime you leave the office ?
E-mail is central to the flow of communication and customer interaction.
Therefore, SwiftSMS Outlook contains a feature that allows you to automatically direct important emails to your mobile phone in a form of an SMS whenever you leave the office !

This is done in 3 easy steps:

Step 1 - Enable the Email to SMS to feature

Step 2 - Create/ Select an Outlook Folder that will house all the E-mails that are to be sent to your mobile phone

Step 3 - Create an Outlook Rule that will MOVE a copy of E-mails to that folder

When a new E-mail arrives that matches your Outlook Rule, it will be placed into that Folder.
SwiftSMS Outlook will forward that Email to your mobile phone !

You can even select what part of the Email you would like to be sent to you - Sender and/ or Subject and/or Body:

what is an Outlook Rule ?
Outlook Rules is a built in feature that allows you to automatically manipulate Emails.

what about the SMS space limitation ?
Each SMS contains 160 characters. In order to maximise the amount of information that can be converted from Email to SMS, you can enable the Space Saving Option
This option compreses the text and therefore allows for more information to be sent.

This option is Optional and can be Enabled/ Disabled

What happens when I am back in the office ?
When you are back in the office, simple Disable the Email to SMS feature

Convert Calendar Reminders to SMS :
Ever missed a meeting or an important event ?
Now you can Automatically get your Outlook to send you your next meeting's information direct to your cell phone !

This is done in 3 easy steps:

Step 1 - Create a meeting in Outlook like you normally would do

Step 2 - Set the Reminder time which is how long before the meeting you would like to be reminded.
(note: due to potential network congestion, we recommend setting the Reminder Time to no less than 15 minutes)

Step 3 - Insert your cellular number in the Categories section (see Diagram below). If this reminder needs to go to other people - insert their numbers as well ! eg. 08312345, 08212345, 08412345

Save it and you are done !

What happens if I already use the Categories ?
If you already use Categories within Outlook they would look like this
Example: Business, Legal etc.
If you would like to send the SMS reminder, simply add your cell number
Example: 0837881911, Business, Legal
The program will go through the categories and ONLY send the SMS out if there is a cell number in it !

Convert Task Reminders to SMS :
Ever forgot to do a Task or missed it's Due Date ?
Outlook will convert your Tasks Reminders and/ or Due Dates and send them to your cell phone !

This is done in 3 easy steps:

Step 1 - Create the Task in Outlook like you normally would do

Step 2 - Set the Reminder time which is when you would like to be reminded of this Task
(note: due to potential network congestion, we recommend setting the Reminder Time to no less than 15 minutes)

Step 3 - Insert your cellular number in the Categories section (see Diagram below). If this reminder needs to be sent to other people - insert their numbers as well ! eg. 08312345, 08212345, 08412345

Save it and you are done !

Mark Contact and Email for Follow Up :
Ever Need to be reminded to Call someone ? or Need to be Reminded to Action an Email ?
Outlook will Remind you to do the Follow up and send this reminder to your cell phone !

This is done in 5 simple steps:

Step 1 - Right-Click on the Email/ Contact that you want to Follow Up

Step 2 - Click on Categories... and enter your Cell phone number and click on OK

Step 3 - Right-Click on the same Email/ Contact that you want to Follow Up

Step 4 - Click on Flag for Follow Up...

Step 5 - Insert the Due Date and Time - this is when the Reminder will be activated.
Click on Ok

Internet Connection :
Don't have permanent Internet Connection but would still like to take advantage of the SMS Reminders and Email to SMS facility ?

No problem - SwiftSMS Outlook can be set to Automatically Dial your default Internet Service Provider, send your Reminder SMS and/ or Email to SMS and then disconnect from the net !

Note: Must have Internet Explorer (ver 4.0 or later) installed to use this facility

This is done in 2 simple steps:

Step 1 - In Internet Explorer: Click on Tools, Internet Options, Select the Connection Tab and choose Dial whenever a network is not present and click on OK
